Tip 49 : Don't waffle

I've already talked about the importance of being interesting, and one of the fastest ways not to do that is to waffle.

Unfortunately, many people find it very difficult to write in a concise, powerful manner, and as a result their personal statements tend to be long and rambling. If you write a sentence, and you don't think it quite makes your point in the way you'd like it to, you need to rewrite it. If you simply add a further sentence that says the same thing in a slightly different way, you're wasting your own word/character limit and the reader's time.

It's best to avoid both of those things, so please don't waffle. If you are not sure whether or not you are waffling, get a second opinion. You can even send it to me for a free second opinion if you like
